To carry on our love of all things poetry and to keep the energy high, I will continue to post poems by the contributing poets to the anthology until the Colorado Book Awards on May 21, 2017 (info by clicking here).

Forever There
an afghan lies
upon a still lap
molded into bones
long ago released from flesh
folded hands
reveal altered junctions
satin holds within
memories for the living
a pillow accepts
laid to rest
beneath the cloth
time bequeaths decline
steel walls
protect an extinction
a closed door prevents entry
to a shelter that fills a vacant plot
particles form a barrier
only prayers can reach
green captures
a blanket of earth
that holds the past
granite introduces the rebellion
of a future deceased
a soul once in flight
perches at peace
