So here’s what happened. On Monday I revealed that I would be posting a poem everyday in April to celebrate National Poetry Month. Then a writer friend (one who shall not be named) suggested that I take on the April A to Z Blogging challenge with the poems. Sure, that’ll be easy, I thought, for less than one second. Alas, the seed was planted and somehow I’m ready to go. Yes, I’m a few day’s late on my reveal for A to Z Blogging, but as you now know I’ll be doing a Poetry Theme for the A to Z Blogging Challenge.
Each day of the challenge I’ll be post a poem that matches the letter day of the A to Z challenge. I’ll admit I’ve had to use a little slight-of-hand to make it all work. Each poem is written by a contributor to the book Sunrise Summits: A Poetry Anthology, which has been selected as one of four finalist in the anthology category for the 2017 Colorado Book Awards.
However, the poems posted are not from the book, so I can showcase more of the poet’s talents.
BONUS: For every comment you leave during National Poetry Month/A to Z Blogging challenge, you’ll earn one entry for a drawing on May 1, 2017 to win a copy of Sunrise Summits. Commenting on today’s post will qualify you for one entry as well.
It’s going to be a wild and fun month, and I’m honored to share the work from the contributing poets of the anthology. Enjoy! ( And don’t forget to leave a comment each day to be earn another for the book give away.)
