Yup, life decided to keep me occupied and I forgot to pre-load my Insecure Writer’s Support Group first Wednesday of the Month post. Yikes…how can I get so far behind?

Thanks to Alex Cavanaugh and his supporting cast for keeping this wonderful group alive! Be sure to visit this month’s co-hosts:

Stephen Tremp, Fundy Blue, MJ Fifield, Loni Townsend, Bish Denham, Susan Gourley, and Stephanie Faris

This month I’m finding myself overcoming doubt and insecurity by launching my first book of haiku via my own publishing imprint. I’ll have the proof in a couple of days, which is about two weeks later than I had planned. Most of the delay came from the fear of making this book a mess, so I put off submitting the draft to Createspace. But it’s there now and I’m excited to have a copy in my hands soon. The schedule change with my career shift with the FAA has been good and also a struggle. The normal sleep schedule is great, but I’ve yet to recover much of my writing time that was available to me. I’m still working on reclaiming my “time” away to write. Despite this, I’ve enjoyed some good news and publishing credits of late, which helps fuel the fire.

Managing time is my biggest component of insecurity and struggle. I know many writers who are in this boat as well and I’m open to hear how you deal with work, family, life, and still “claim” your right to write.
