Congratulations to the IWSG anthology winners!!!!
Me, well, umm, December pretty much sucked.
And so it goes. It’s in the past and now it’s time to move forward.
January 7 (as in tomorrow) brings a major change in my life as I end my FAA air traffic control career. I’ll be staying on with the FAA but will be in a staff job (regular hours….YAY!) After nearly 28 years directing airplanes and talking to pilots, this will be a time of adjustment. However I hope to have a better/regular writing schedule, regular sleep patterns and less stress.
Despite the ongoing writing frustration, insecurities, and self-doubt, I’m optimistic for 2016. Several projects are on the drawing board. First up is finishing up the website from my first effort as an anthology editor. Thanks to Jennifer at TulipTree Publishing for supporting/publishing the book! The Water Holds No Scars: Fly Fishing Stories of Rivers & Rejuvenation is out in the world. The website (CLICKETY-CLICK HERE) is live, but needs some tweeks and additions.
One of the coolest things on the website is a twice-monthly paid blog/story slot. I’m paying $25 per published piece (1.5k words or less) with Military Monday (1st Monday) and Trout Tuesday (3rd Tuesday. More info HERE.)
Enough for now. Again, congrats to the IWSG anthology winners. Let’s celebrate their success together!
