First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to all who have served, those who support them, those currently serving, and those who will serve this great country of ours.

Second, I have the distinct pleasure of being editor of the soon-to-be-released anthology, The Water Holds No Scars: Fly Fishing Stories of Rivers and Rejuvenation.

The anthology is filled with fly fishing stories from sixteen different authors, many of them veterans. As I read through their bios, I was, again, overwhelmed at the depth of service, human kindness, struggle, support, and love military personnel share.

Among our military authors are the following:

Coast Guard Captain with an MFA and writing competition finalist;
Navy Doctor, VA primary care physician, and three-time published novelist;
Air Force Veteran with military family roots extending back to the Revolutionary War;
Vietnam Army Helicopter Pilot with multiple medal awards, including two purple hearts and two bronze stars;
Vietnam Army Veteran who co-founded what is now the largest chapter of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing.

There may be one or two more to include here, but our bio deadline is this coming Friday. I’ll update this list at they arrive.

It is my honor to have these warriors contribute their voice to the anthology, along with several other talented writers. I’ll highlight every author here on this blog as we move closer to publication. Look for publication/purchase details soon.
