It’s back. Seems like every 30 days or so the first Wednesday of the month catches me by surprise. If it weren’t for the first Tuesday happening before, I’d never get these posts written!
Ninja Captain Alex Cavanaugh keeps us honest and supported along with each month’s Co-hosts. This month they are:
Be sure to visit them, say hi and keep this lively group going strong. Also, visit the IWSG page for info on the contest and anthology opportunity.
This month I’m still feeling a bit behind and insecure with many projects nearing deadlines. Work on a collaborative project is nearing 3/4 complete and our hope is to get the work out by the holidays. I’m working with Kerrie Flanagan, owner of Hot Chocolate Press and Northern Colorado Writers on this. It’s been a hoot so far!
Also in collaboration is my first anthology editor project The Water Holds No Scars: Fly Fishing Stories of Rivers and Rejuvenation. Working with Tulip Tree Publishing on this one. We are in final edits with the great line up of 16 authors. More news on this as the planned November release date approaches.
The next new adventure is I’m teaching a class for Northern Colorado Writers on October 24! Titled Beyond Blogs and Giveaways: Book Promotion Made Easy. Yikes! I’m nearly done with preparations and now have to get over my nerves to teach/discuss the material.
Finally, I’m developing a new program in conjunction with The Haiku For You Project which I kicked off last month. Once I get the above projects complete/secured, I’ll be moving forward with final preparations.
Yup, it’s a busy time and I’m working feverishly to accomplish everything on my plate. There’s not any room for dessert or too much self-doubt. But I’ve also learned I need to say no once in a while to keep my sanity. Then again, I never want for something to do and have several reasons to get out fly fishing on a mental health day (as in this Friday!)
How about you? To busy? Been Slacking? Feeling insecure about anything?
