Tulip Tree Publications is accepting personal essay/creative nonfiction stories up to 5,000 words for consideration of inclusion in an anthology to be published in September 2015 titled The Water Holds No Scars: Fly Fishing Stories of Rivers and Rejuvenation.
Each submission should paint a picture of the healing benefits of fly fishing and/or communing with nature. The anthology is restricted to fly fishing themed stories only. However, fly tying, rod building or other fly fishing related stories are acceptable.
Proceeds from the sale of the book (Scheduled for September 2015) will be donated to the Platte Rivers Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing program. Stories from both veterans and non-veterans will be included in the anthology, based solely on the writer’s ability to move the reader, place them on the river, lake, or other fishing location. Each author accepted for the anthology will be sent a contract for publication (approx. August 1) and will receive a copy of the book as payment.
Stories must be the author’s original words. Previously published works will be considered but the author must have the rights to republish the story. Dean K Miller (yours truly) will be editing the anthology.
