A great weekend at the Northern Colorado Writer’s Conference produced new friends, inspiration, and a few book sales to boot. Keynote speaker Chuck Sambuchino was witty and educational, Chuck Harris won the Top of the Mountain Book Award , Colorado State Poetry Out Loud Champion Alice Kilduff gave a fantastic recitation as she prepares for the National Championship in April, and Ilan Shamir‘s lunch performance on Friday with drumming and poetry was a great start.

Everyone received great advice, and Ilan provided the follow scribe/bookmark especially for the NCW Conference.

The text reads: Advice from a Pencil: Tell your story; Stay sharp; Take note of what’s important; Keep your word; Know when to draw the line; Jot down good ideas; Make your mark!

Speaking of the NCW Conference, NCW’s Assistant Director Rich Keller‘s book Paradise Not Quite Lost is available for Kindle via Amazon.
