A long time ago, in movie theater far, far away from Colorado, I watched the remake of A Star is Born. Streisand and Kristofferson were splendid (IMHO.)
Often in life, we must take risks. And there are many: whether it’s writing a book, moving away from home for a new job, sometimes just walking out the door to face a new day contains risks.
One night, as I wavered in my decision (and commitment to the risks) of bringing And Then I Smiled . . . to life, I recalled the movie and this song in particular. What bigger risk is there than standing up in front of a hostile crowd who doesn’t know you from the hot dog vendor and put it “out there?”
If she could do it, why couldn’t I?
