Meet Josh Rickard, fly fisherman extraordinaire and creator of Rocky Mountain Fly Fisher. His theory is simple: “Fish with confidence.”

I admit, it’s one of the best ideas I’ve come across.

Josh is an incredible asset to the fly fishing community along the Colorado Front Range. He works with river programs, kids programs, and has volunteered for PHWFF on more than one occasion.

He’s a bug-guy as well and puts on a great entomology class. Pair that with his love of light rods and small streams, and you’ve got a great companion for a day of hiking and fishing Rocky Mountain National Park.

I plan to twist his non-casting arm just enough to take me with him. Maybe I’ll get a souvenir video of all the fish he catches.

It’s the first Tuesday of March and that means free stuff! Josh has provided one of his RMFF T-shirts to be given to one lucky visitor who leaves a comment on this post. Contest ends on Saturday March 9 at 11:00 PM. The winner will be posted Sunday, March 10.
