One highlight of my 25-year ATC career was receiving the 2010 National Air Traffic Controller Association’s (NATCA) Archie League Award for the Northwest Mountain Region. Named for the first air traffic controller, the award nominations are made by fellow NATCA ATC specialists. The video of the reception is linked below.


It was pretty cool to be honored by my peers for this Regional award and the fact that I spoke with the pilot the following day is something I will never forget.
