Ten compelling reasons why I haven’t finished the first draft of my novel:
#10: All of my characters are on spring break.
#9: There’s wine to uncork and chocolate to unwrap.
#8: The dryer lint basket needs to be cleaned with tweezers.
#7: My critique group needs something to look forward to.
#6: The female lead refuses to stand up and “take it like a man.”
#5: Squirrel!
#4: I know there’s one more FaceBook friend out there looking for me.
#3: What? We’re out of toilet bowl cleaner again?
#2: I need more fly fishing research to truly understand my character’s POV.
#1: I’ve drank too much wine and eaten too much chocolate!
